"Uncovering AI Innovations for Sustainable Development"

8th SLAAI-International Conference on Artificial Intelligence - 2024 (SLAAI-ICAI -2024), a major international gathering of researchers in AI, is proudly announced by Sri Lanka Association for Artificial Intelligence. SLAAI-ICAI-2024 provide a forum to interact with world-class researchers in Symbolic-AI and Non-symbolic - AI to share their experience and thoughts of future directions of AI to device smart solutions for problems with greater challenges. The conference will be held on 18th -19th of December 2024 at Gen. Sir John Kotelawala Defence University, Sri Lanka. SLAAI-ICAI-2024 will be held as a virtual and hybrid conference.

Professor Asoka Karunananda

Senior Professor at University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka

Senior Professor Asoka Karunananda is currently working as a Senior Professor at the Department of Computational Mathematics, Faculty of Information Technology, University of Moratuwa. Also, he is the first dean of the Faculty of Computing, General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University Sri Lanka. His current research includes Complex Systems, Theory of Computing, Ontological Modeling, Multi Agent Systems, Mindfulness Interventions for Education in particular, and Artificial Intelligence in general. He received his PHD from Keele University, UK in 1995, MPhil from Open University of Sri Lanka in 1985, Further he is also a founder member of the Sri Lanka Association for Artificial Intelligence and promote AI since last 25 years in Sri Lanka.

Professor Emi Yuda

Associate Professor at Tohoku University, Japan

Professor Emi Yuda is from Tokyo, Japan, and is currently an Associate Professor at the Graduate School of Information Science, Tohoku University. From 2019 to 2020, she was an Assistant Professor at the School of Engineering, Tohoku University, and from 2021 to 2023, she was an Assistant Professor at Center for Data-driven Science and Artificial Intelligence (CDS),Tohoku University. Her research interests include bio-signal processing and biomedical big data analysis. She received her M.S. degree from the University of Tsukuba, Ph.D. degree in Nihon University, and Doctor of engineering (Dr.Eng.) from Niigata University, Japan. She is a senior member of IEEE.

  • Authors are invited to submit full papers of no more than six (6) pages including results, figures, tables and references in standard IEEE double-column format.
  • Authors must STRICTLY follow the provided template.
  • IEEE manuscript template for Microsoft Word is available Ms Word Template
  • Only the papers that are submitted through CMT system will be considered for the review process.
  • Author names and their affiliations should be removed from the initial PDF file for the double-blind review process. The final accepted camera-ready paper should have the author details as per the IEEE guidelines.
